Die Handelsmesse ist jedes Jahr ein Highlight. Nicht nur für die Junior Companies, sondern auch für das immer größer werdende Alumni Team.
Über 30 Junior Companies aus Europa kamen nach Wien, um ihr Unternehmen und ihre Produkte zu präsentieren. JA Alumni Austria unterstützt Junior Achievement schon seit Jahren bei der Organisation des Events. Die Gelegenheit wird auch immer genützt, um den Juniors unseren Verein JA Alumni vorzustellen und dafür zu begeistern.
Am Freitag wurde auch heuer mit einer lustigen Ice-Breaker-Session gestartet, gefolgt von einer interessanten Präsentation über den Social Impact Award. Offiziell startete die internationale Handelsmesse aber erst beim Welcome Dinner in der Luftburg. Der nächste Morgen kam wie immer viel zu früh und so ging es für alle Junior Companies und Alumni in die Mall Wien Mitte. Dort wurde den ganzen Tag präsentiert und verkauft. Auch wir Alumni hatten alle Hände voll zu tun. Wir waren in der Jury vertreten, rekrutierten neue Mitglieder, wählten eine Junior Company für den Alumni Award aus und informierten über die Handelsmesse an unserem Alumni Corner. Der Alumni Corner erfreute sich besonderer Beliebtheit, da er neben vielen motivierten Alumni auch die Möglichkeit bot, auf einer alten Nintendo 64 Konsole Mario Kart zu spielen und sich mit anderen zu batteln.
Nach vielen Stunden in der Mall stand endlich das Award Dinner an und es wurde verkündet, welche Junior Companies Preise abräumen konnten. Abschließend ging es zur berühmt berüchtigten Afterparty in den Club Berlin, wo Juniors, als auch Alumni gemeinsam feierten.
Der nächste Morgen startete mit einem ausgiebigen Hangover Brunch und machte uns alle wieder fit für die Alumni Generalversammlung. Es wurden wichtige Themen besprochen, die neuen Workgroups vorgestellt und das Board gewählt. In diesem Sinne: herzlichen Glückwunsch Toni zur neuen Board- Position. Alles in Allem waren wir, trotz anhaltender Müdigkeit, überaus produktiv.
Die Handelsmesse ist für uns Alumni immer ein anstrengendes, aber vor allem lustiges und bereicherndes Wochenende und man freut sich immer darauf mit der Alumni Family Zeit verbringen zu können.

The trade fair is a highlight every year. Not only for the Junior Companies, but also for the ever-growing Alumni Team.
Over 30 Junior Companies from Europe came to Vienna to present their company and products. JA Alumni Austria has been supporting Junior Achievement in organising the event for years. We take this opportunity to present our association JA Alumni to the juniors and to inspire them for it.
This year again, the event started on Friday with a fun ice breaker session, followed by an interesting presentation about the Social Impact Award. The international trade fair started officially with the Welcome Dinner at the Luftburg. The next morning came too early as usual and so all Junior Companies and Alumni went to the Mall Wien Mitte. There they presented and sold all day long. We Alumni also had our hands full. We were represented on the jury, recruited new members, selected a Junior Company for the Alumni Award and informed about the trade fair at our Alumni Corner. The Alumni Corner was particularly popular because, in addition to many motivated alumni, it also offered the opportunity to play Mario Kart on an old Nintendo 64 console and to battle others.
After many hours in the mall, the Award Dinner was finally held and it was announced which Junior Companies could win prizes. Afterwards, it was off to the infamous afterparty at Club Berlin, where Juniors and Alumni celebrated together.
The next morning started with an extensive Hangover Brunch and made us all fit again for the Alumni General Assembly. Important topics were discussed, the new workgroups were introduced and the board was elected. In this sense: congratulations to Toni on her new board position. All in all, we were extremely productive, despite continuing fatigue.
The trade fair is always an exhausting, but above all a fun and enriching weekend for us alumni and we are always looking forward to spending time with the Alumni Family.
